State of Libya joined the IsDB on August 24, 1974, as a founding member. Libya has a population of 6.5 million and a country land area of 1.8 million sq km. In 2017, GDP per capita was estimated at US$6,700, placing it among the group of upper middle-income countries.
Current Projects
The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has stepped up to provide emergency response assistance to the affected population, ensuring they received vital aid in the wake of the devastating floods. The ISFD's commitment extends beyond immediate relief efforts. Through the Tadamon CSOs Accelerator-SPARK (COVID-19 Response) program, the ISFD empowers Libyan civil society organizations to play a crucial role in responding to the pandemic and building long-term resilience.
