Republic of Lebanon
Country Overview
Lebanon is located in the Levant, on the eastern most part of the Mediterranean Sea. At just 10,452 km2, the total population of the country was estimated at 4.6 million in 2018, with an annual population growth rate of about 1%. Lebanon's location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland facilitated its rich history and shaped a cultural identity of religious and ethnic diversity.
Current Projects
Recognizing the challenges faced by refugees and local communities in Lebanon, the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has actively contributed through the Tadamon CSOs Accelerator-SPARK program. This initiative focuses on three key areas: job creation for refugees, distribution of essential emergency supplies, and access to education.
