Republic of Iraq is a parliamentary democracy that gained its independence on October 3, 1932. Iraq has borders with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Kuwait, and the Gulf. It occupies an area of 437,072 km2 and 38.9 million people (2018 data).
Current Projects
The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has stepped up to address critical needs in Iraq. Through the Tadamon CSOs Accelerator-SPARK program, the ISFD is empowering civil society organizations (CSOs) to create jobs for refugees, distribute emergency supplies, and enhance educational opportunities. Additionally, the ISFD's Relief Project for Water Supply provides a lifeline by ensuring access to clean water.
