Guinea-Bissau is a nation of approximately 1.9 million people. Bordered by Senegal to the north and Guinea to the south, its coastline stretches along the Atlantic Ocean, incorporating the captivating Bijagós archipelago – a cluster of 88 islands.
Current Projects
The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has been a key partner in supporting Guinea-Bissau's healthcare system and economic recovery. The Covid-19 Emergency Response Project provided vital assistance during the pandemic, while the ongoing project to Strengthen the Capacity of the Simao Mendes National Hospital is improving access to essential medical care for citizens. Additionally, the ISFD, through its collaboration with the Alliance for Avoidable Blindness (AFAB), launched a Cataract Treatment Campaign, restoring sight and improving the lives of many in Guinea-Bissau.
