Who We Are
The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) is a special fund at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. The Fund is dedicated to promoting socio-economic development and reducing poverty in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. With a clear mission to lead innovative poverty reduction programs, ISFD focuses on developing partnerships that address the most pressing development challenges in IsDB member countries.
What We Do
ISFD is committed to addressing socio-economic challenges and improving the lives of people in our member countries. We target interventions with proven impact to eradicate poverty. We empower women and youth to drive economic growth, invest in human development to unlock individual potential, and support building resilient communities through access to education, healthcare, and clean energy.

Republic of Albania

Country Overview

The Republic of Albania joined the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in 1993.

Current Projects

The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has supported financial inclusion in Albania through its involvement with the First Albanian Financial Development Company. This microfinance project empowers Albanian citizens, particularly those facing economic barriers, by providing access to essential financial resources.
