Kyrgyz Republic
Country Overview
Kyrgyz Republic joined the IsDB on 3 November 1993. Located in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan, a landlocked nation of 6.3 million people, embraces its mountainous grandeur and mineral wealth. While agriculture forms its economic backbone, vast reserves of coal, gold, uranium, and antimony offer immense potential.
Current Projects
Recognizing this potential, the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has partnered with Kyrgyzstan, supporting important projects like the Sarymsak Irrigation Scheme, rural electrification in Batken, microfinance initiatives, and improved water sanitation in Batken and Talas. These investments empower Kyrgyz communities, fostering sustainable development for the country.
