The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, encompassing approximately 2,250,000 km² in Western Asia, is the largest Arab state by land area and the second-largest in the Arab world after Algeria. Established in 1932 as a constitutional monarchy, Saudi Arabia boasts a population of 31.4 million, with expatriates comprising 33%. According to the 2016 IMF data, the country enjoys a per capita income of US$55,125 (PPP). Notably, Saudi Arabia holds the world's largest oil reserves concentrated in the Eastern Province, accompanied by the world's sixth-largest natural gas resources.
Current Projects
The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) has played a role in the Jubail Refinery and Petrochemical Project. The ISFD's contribution to this project underscores the Fund’s strong partnership with Saudi Arabia to strengthen the country’s position as a global leader in the energy sector.
