The NGOs Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program “Tadamon”
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) launched the ISFD-NGOs Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program “Tadamon” in 2019 to help civil society organizations (CSOs) in its 57 member countries better serve vulnerable groups, such as refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), orphans, people with disabilities, and most deprived populations. The program aims to empower NGOs to improve the socioeconomic well-being of the hard-to-reach communities through education, job creation, building resilience, and community livelihood development.
Tadamon is a partnership program sponsored by The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), managed by the IsDB, and implemented by United Nations Development program (UNDP) and other strategic partners.
The Program supports IsDB member countries to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is an innovative transformation approach to development that brings together the work and experience of civil society organizations (CSOs), private businesses, and social investors who are specialized in crowdfunding and blockchain.
