ISFD Director General Visits BINA Business Incubator in Libya

Tripoli, Libya – June 2, 2024 – Dr. Hiba Ahmed, the Director General of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), visited BINA Business Incubator, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting youth-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Libya. 

During her visit with the ISFD team, Dr. Hiba was briefed about BINA Business Incubators’ activities and its contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Libya and the support it provides to the MSMEs through mentorship, training, and access to finance. BINA’s beneficiaries also organized an exhibition to display their products and showcase their success stories. 

BINA was a recipient of ISFD's Tadamon Covid-19 Accelerator Program, a program funded by IsDB and ISFD, through which support was provided to Libyan women and young entrepreneurs with the aim of: 

1. Empowering 60 start-up/SMEs to access finance through training, coaching, and mentorship, 

2. building capacity of 25 business mentors across Libya and supporting entrepreneurship ecosystem in Libya, and 

3. Supporting 60 freelancers to access job market through building their capacity and mentorship.
