Strategic Thinking & Planning Workshop Concluded for NGOs in Yemen

Hadramout, Yemen – July 3, 2024 – Al-Awn Foundation for Development successfully concluded a five-day workshop on "Strategic Thinking and Planning" in Hadramout, Yemen, as part of Tadamon NGOs Empowerment Program for Poverty Reduction, a program sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD). 

The workshop brought together 28 participants, representing leadership from local organizations. This intensive training aimed to equip them with the essential skills for effective organizational planning and strategic development, ultimately empowering them to make a greater impact in their communities. 

Through interactive sessions and the use of advanced models and tools, participants gained valuable knowledge in the key areas of strategic thinking to formulate the organization’s purpose and aspirations as well as strategic planning to create a roadmap with measurable objectives to guide the organization towards its long-term vision. This comprehensive approach empowers local NGOs to overcome challenges, build a strong foundation for success, and contribute more effectively to poverty reduction and the development of their communities.
