Who We Are
The Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD) is a special fund at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. The Fund is dedicated to promoting socio-economic development and reducing poverty in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. With a clear mission to lead innovative poverty reduction programs, ISFD focuses on developing partnerships that address the most pressing development challenges in IsDB member countries.
What We Do
ISFD is committed to addressing socio-economic challenges and improving the lives of people in our member countries. We target interventions with proven impact to eradicate poverty. We empower women and youth to drive economic growth, invest in human development to unlock individual potential, and support building resilient communities through access to education, healthcare, and clean energy.

ISFD Director General Tours Waqf Guinea Project

Conakry, Guinea, July 23, 2024 - During her recent visit to the Republic of Guinea, Dr. Hiba Ahmed, along with the IsDB Governor for Guinea and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, H.E. Ismaël Nabé, toured the ongoing Waqf Guinea project.

The project is financed by the ISFD, APIF, and the Government of Guinea. The management team overseeing the project briefed Dr. Hiba on its progress. She stressed the importance of completing the project promptly and assured the Minister of the ISFD's full support.

Dr. Hiba expressed her eagerness to see the project finalized and inaugurated by H.E. the IsDB President at the earliest opportunity.
