ISFD Director General Participates in the Second Meeting of Al-Quds Empowerment Fund’s Board of Trustees Chaired by HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal

Kuwait City, 30 January 2024 – The ISFD held the second meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Al-Quds Empowerment Fund (AEF) in Kuwait City on 30 January 2024. The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Hiba Ahmed, the ISFD Director General, and other prominent figures and members of the BoT.

Engaging in productive discussions, the BoT explored means to bolster the AEF's resource mobilization efforts. Members actively identified avenues to secure additional funding, ensuring the Fund's continued ability to maximize its impactful work in fostering empowerment for the people of Al-Quds.

Marking a significant step forward, the meeting witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development, represented by Dr. Hiba Ahmed, and International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO), represented by the IICO Chairman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq. This strategic partnership signifies the IICO's interest in contributing vital resources towards the AEF, solidifying its unwavering support for the residents of Al-Quds City. Also, the BoT meeting witnessed a fundraising event for AEF targeting private sector and charity organizations in Kuwait.
