Noor Jomaa's Journey to Becoming an Accountant
Amidst the turmoil of the situation in Syria, Noor Jomaa, a Syrian refugee, refused to let her educational aspirations fade away. With unwavering determination and the support of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), Noor embarked on a remarkable journey to pursue her accounting dreams.
Noor's academic excellence was evident from a young age. She consistently excelled in her studies, particularly drawn to the world of business and finance. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in Damascus University's English literature program. However, her pursuit of higher education was abruptly halted by the outbreak of war.
Seeking refuge in neighboring Jordan, Noor and her family found themselves in a refugee camp. Noor's heart sank as she feared her educational dreams were shattered. But fate had a different plan for her.
Tadamon Program, a beacon of hope for Syrian refugees like Noor, offered scholarships that could light the path to a brighter future. Learning about this opportunity, Noor eagerly applied and was overjoyed to be accepted. The scholarship granted her the chance to pursue accounting at Luminus Technical University College, igniting a spark of renewed hope within her.
Noor flourished in her new academic environment, quickly rising to the top of her class. Her dedication and talent caught the attention of the college's financial department, who offered her a job opportunity. This hands-on experience further enriched her accounting knowledge and prepared her for a successful career.
Noor's story serves as an inspiration and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of education.
